The three essays that are offered in the present volume focalize different aspects of French Symbolism and of the influence it exerted on the XXth century cultural context. The first of these essays concerns Stéphane Mallarmé and the interesting portrait that Camille Mauclair left of him in the novel "Le Soleil des Morts" (1898). The second essay analyses the structural aspects of Decandent fantastic story. In the end, the third contribution illustrates the inheritance of Symbolism in one of Paul Claudel's first works: "Tete d'Or".
