"Partage de Midi" is generally considered by critics as the first authentic Claudel's masterpiece, born from the experience of the adulterous passion lived by the poet immediately after his conversion to Catholicism. In reality, it is an extremely actual drama, not only in consideration of the themes that are treated, but also in consideration of the theater techniques which are used. That is the reason why Simonetta Valenti has decided to make such a work, in the original version of 1906, the most accessible to the Italian public.
