Il saggio riconsidera il tema della costituzione cinematografica dell’evento a partire dall’illusione della restituzione del reale e dall’analisi delle pratiche stilistiche e narrative che riconducono l’evento cinematografico all’interno di un contesto sociale e storico che lo racconta. La discussione teorica dell’evento cinematografico e del ruolo che lo spettatore gioca nella sua strutturazione è seguita dal caso di studio del film Dal Polo all’Equatore di Yervant Gianikian e Angela Ricci Lucchi, dove l’evento cinematografico è destrutturato e riconfigurato a partire da un profondo lavoro sulla spazialità e la temporalità dell’immagine cinematografica, nonché sulla messa in discussione del punto di vista, che risulta decisivo nella costituzione dell’evento al cinema. ENGLISH: The historian François Dosse wrote that at the movies everything is event. Every image, every sequence takes the form of an event. Even a thing that would not be an event per se – like, for instance, the arrival of a train in La Ciotat – becomes immediately an event when filmed. The essay reconsiders the matter of the cinematic constitution of the event, focusing on the illusion of realism and on the analysis of narrative and stylistic practices, which shape the cinematic event within a social and historical context. After the theoretical discussion of the cinematic event and its structuration, the essay analyze, as a case study, Yervant Gianikian’s and Angela Ricci Lucchi’s Dal Polo all’Equatore, a movie characterized by the de-structuration and the re-configuration of the cinematic event, pursued by the authors through a direct action on the space and time of film images, and through a profound reconsideration of the point of view (a crucial element to establish the event at the movies).
