Abstract
Jean Piaget, although internationally acclaimed for his revolutionary ideas, has been seriously misundestood by many of those attempting to interpret his theories and apply them.Until recently, most books and articles on Piaget’s theory, wether laudatory or critical, were written by psychologist and educationists, while Piaget was not in the first istance either an educational or child psychologist. His concern with children stemmed from the necessity, as he saw it, to study the development of cognition in order to grasp the nature of thought as a whole: his motives were primarily philosophical and epistemological and Piaget himself always emphasized his epistemological orientation. This article argues the contribute of piagetian genetic structuralism toward the unification of knowing and the natural and social sciences controversies overcoming.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
