The paper includes a short summary of some features of the papyrus collection of the Euripidean hypotheses, whose re-edition, with commentary, is in preparation for the Commentaria et Lexica Graeca in papyris reperta (§ 1). Then, a sketch of its modern editorial history will be followed by the review of the authorship question (§ 2).
