Epigr. Bob. 54 Sp. (= Ps. Auson. 22-23 p. 429/30 Peip.) is an ekphrastic epigram about a painting representing the infanticide of Medea, closely related to its Greek exemplar, APl 137, attributed to Philippus of Thessalonica. The paper analyzes the vesificatory technique of the anonymous Latin translator, who takes into account the wide Latin literary tradition. It also tries to demonstrate that the last two verses (9 and 10) are the real σφραγίς of Epigr. Bob. 54, and not an independent monodistic.

Abstract
Epigr. Bob. 54 Sp. (= Ps. Auson. Bob. 54, and not an independent monodistic.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
